Arizona Quick Trip

Had thought I was all traveled out but in September, Son #1 and I managed a flying 2.5 day trip North of here to see a bit more of Arizona.  We left late on a Friday night and just got to see the end of the day at the Grand Canyon.  After dark we drove North for another couple of hours onto Page, AZ.  On Saturday we saw the Glen Canyon Dam, and drove to Zion National Park (about 2 hours) through Kanab, Utah (where they filmed a lot of old westerns).  We saw a neat old museum and found the Red Sand Dunes Park along the way and ended with a great hike in the park.  We returned that night to stay in Page so we could do the River Raft trip on Sunday morning and take a walking tour of a little known Slot Canyon on the Navajo Reservation in the afternoon before we drove home.  Long days but worth it.  Lots to see in the area.  Page is a neat town and I'd like to go back.  There is a lot of boating in the area due to the dam.  Hope you enjoy the pics.
